"By Failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail." Benjamin Franklin

David has extensive experience in a variety of civil matters, including real estate, foreclosure, debtor and creditor remedies, judgment collection, business litigation and transactions, and appeals.  He has handled cases at all stages of litigation in highly contested disputes, which have involved contested motions, evidentiary hearings, discovery, trials, post-judgment litigation, mediation, and appeals.

Most recently, David’s experience includes financial services litigation representing financial institutions in a breadth of disputes regarding real estate, title issues, breaches of contract, and compliance with numerous state and federal statutes relating to creditor remedies, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. His appellate experience includes successfully representing clients at the Minnesota Court of Appeals and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. David has also argued before the Minnesota Supreme Court.

David now focuses his practice in the areas of real estate transactions and litigation, including residential and commercial properties, landlord/tenant issues, land issues, zoning, tax appeals, boundary disputes, and personal and business issues related to the sale, purchase, and investment of property. David also assists clients with matters related to foreclosure, judgment enforcement, and collection.

Prior to entering private practice, David clerked for the Hon. Tanja K. Manrique in the Hennepin County District Court.

David is a lifelong resident of Minnesota.  He moved to Lakeville with his family shortly after graduating from law school because of the wonderful opportunities the city presents.  David has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School since 2006, where he teaches legal writing to first year law students.
