John brings a focus on precision to any legal matter. Whether it is finessing language to solve a seemingly intractable drafting problem or articulating a client's position before the court, John's focus on precision enables the firm’s clients to achieve their goals decisively.
John’s practice focuses on estate planning, litigation, corporate/general business advisory, and real estate matters.
John guides the firm’s clients through estate planning and the probate process. He has experience with drafting trusts (revocable, irrevocable, and special purpose), wills, trust wills, codicils, TODDs, deeds, and various other estate planning documents. John has handled estates through the entire probate process from initial client retention through PR appointment, inventory, distribution, final accounting, and closing. He also assists clients with avoiding probate through use of non-probate transfers of assets.
John handles litigation matters for the firm’s clients in Minnesota, Florida, and various other jurisdictions as our client’s needs arise. John’s litigation practice focuses on trust, estate/probate, corporate/civil and real estate litigation and appeals.
John also assists clients in real estate, corporate/entity formation, and general corporate advising. John has appeared before district courts and magistrates in numerous counties in Minnesota as well as the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, multiple counties in Florida and various other federal and state courts as our clients’ needs arise.
Prior to entering private practice, John worked as a Judicial Law Clerk/Staff Attorney to former First Judicial District Judges, M. Michael Baxter and Michael R. Savre.
